It's Tax Time!
Why choose MWWR?
We have been in the Miami Valley since 1972. We are here today and will be here April 15th and beyond. Our staff is available year-round to answer your questions about taxation or any other accounting matter.
Why choose a tax professional?
Life is too busy and your time is precious to you. Do you want to lock yourself in the office for several weeknights or for a full weekend to wrestle those numbers into computer software? Let us do it for you. You'll feel less stressed and have more free time.
Certified public accountants (CPAs) and Enrolled Agents (EAs) are licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. In order to maintain their licenses, both CPAs and EAs must complete a certain number of required hours of continuing education each year. Any tax professional you meet at MWWR is going to be there for you in the long run, year after year. Our doors are open year round for tax questions, tax planning and other financial matters.
What are your office hours?
Murray Wells Wendeln & Robinson is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Our Saturday hours are 8 am to noon. We are also available by appointment.
How much will my return preparation cost?
Our fees are based upon the complexity of your return. Since everyone's tax return is different, it is difficult to quote a flat amount. Please call if you have more questions, or email email@example.com.
What is your fee for efiling?
We do not charge an additional fee for using electronic filing. With one form, we can efile your federal, state and school district (if necessary) returns. Currently, city returns cannot be efiled. We will prepare any applicable city returns as part of our basic tax preparation service.
Do you offer refund loans?
We do not offer refund loans. We believe that they are too expensive for you. If you elect to have your refund directly deposited in a checking or savings account, the turnaround time is usually 10-14 days.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express. We can accept your payment over the phone or in person.
How long will it take to prepare my return?
We do not prepare returns while you wait. We have a preparation and review process in place that makes sure that your return is complete and correct. The complexity of your return and the point in the tax filing season determines how quickly we can process your return.
I'm a new client - what do I bring?
Go to our Forms page and click on the Tax Organizer. This is a fillable pdf that gives us most of what we need to prepare your first return. Additionally, bring any supporting documents (W-2s, mortgage statements, 1099s, etc) with you - we will copy them and return the originals to you. Also, bring your completed return from last year. Looking it over may prompt some questions that help us prepare this year's return properly.
My return is finished - now what?
You must return your signed Form 8879 before we can efile your return. If you are filing jointly with your spouse, both signatures must be on the form. Once the form has been returned to our office, you can start checking the IRS website for information regarding your return in 7 days. Go to our Links page to find links to the IRS "Where's my refund" site as well as the state sites.
